Khatam Headquarters Spokesperson Issues Stark Warning: Security of Persian Gulf and Oman Sea Ports Must Be Universal—or Nonexistent

According to Saed News political desk, Colonel IRGC Ebrahim Zolfaqari, spokesperson for the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters, stated that security in the ports of the Persian Gulf and the Sea of Oman must be ensured for everyone—or for no one.

The full text of his remarks is as follows:

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

The Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran consider defending the country’s legal rights a natural and lawful duty. Accordingly, exercising Iran’s sovereignty over its territorial waters is the inherent right of the Iranian nation.

Based on this principle, ensuring security in the territorial waters of the Islamic Republic of Iran by its dedicated armed forces will continue decisively. As repeatedly stated, vessels affiliated with hostile entities are not and will not be permitted to pass through the Strait of Hormuz. Other vessels, however, will continue to be allowed passage through the strait in accordance with the regulations of Iran’s armed forces.

Furthermore, given the continued threats by adversaries against the Iranian people and the country’s national security even after the war, the Islamic Republic of Iran will firmly implement a permanent mechanism to control the Strait of Hormuz.

The imposition of restrictions by what was described as the “criminal United States” on maritime traffic in international waters is an illegal act and constitutes piracy.

The Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran clearly and firmly declare that security in the ports of the Persian Gulf and the Sea of Oman must be guaranteed for all, or for none.

If the security of Iranian ports in the Persian Gulf and the Sea of Oman is threatened, no port in these waters will remain secure.

And victory comes only from God, the Almighty, the All-Wise.
