SAEDNEWS: The spokesperson for the National Security and Foreign Policy Commission of parliament reacted to Donald Trump’s threat by stating that a naval blockade is merely a bluff.
According to Saed News political desk, Ebrahim Rezaei, spokesperson for the Iranian Parliament’s National Security and Foreign Policy Commission, wrote in a post on his personal page on the social media platform X in response to Trump’s threat to blockade the Strait of Hormuz:
“Trump’s claim that he will initiate a naval blockade of Iran is more of a bluff than a reality, because it would be considered a military operation and we would respond. It would further complicate the situation he is already in, and make the market—over which he is already frustrated—even more unstable. It could also lead us to reveal other cards that we have not yet played.
If you want the situation to improve, respect the Iranian people, accept your defeat, and do not seek at the negotiating table what you failed to achieve in war.”
