Saed News: In an interview, Iran’s representative to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) in Vienna described the resolution submitted to the Agency’s Board of Governors by the European Troika and the United States as “politically motivated,” warning that if the resolution is adopted, Iran’s response will be “very strong and decisive.”

Iran’s representative to the Agency: Iran’s response to the adoption of the anti-Iran resolution will be very strong and decisive.

According to Saed News, following the submission of an anti-Iran resolution by the European Troika (Germany, France, and the UK) and the United States to the Board of Governors of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Reza Najafi, Iran’s representative to the Agency, warned in an interview that if the resolution is adopted, Tehran’s response will be “very strong and decisive.”

AFP, in a report covering this development, stated that Najafi, in an interview with the agency, rejected the IAEA’s recent report on monitoring and verification of Iran’s nuclear program, calling its conclusions “lacking a solid and well-founded basis” and saying that “many of the points raised in this report refer to past issues.”

The Iranian envoy to the IAEA said: “The claim that Iran is not fully cooperating with the Agency is unacceptable.”

According to Najafi, the resolution has been submitted with “political motivation.”

On Tuesday (yesterday), the European powers, along with the United States, submitted a resolution to the UN’s nuclear watchdog condemning what they described as “Iran’s failure to comply with its nuclear commitments.”

Diplomats speaking to AFP said the move aims to increase pressure on Tehran.

According to diplomatic sources, the text was submitted to the IAEA on Tuesday evening and represents the latest Western diplomatic effort in the ongoing attempt to limit Iran’s nuclear activities.

The resolution is expected to be put to a vote this evening, Wednesday.
