SAEDNEWS: Recent diplomatic efforts have focused on proposals for a short‑term ceasefire — including reports of negotiations for a 45‑day truce that could serve as a stepping stone toward broader negotiations — but Tehran has stressed its insistence on substantive guarantees and security conditions before agreeing to any temporary halt in fighting.
According to SAEDNEWS, Axios, the American-Israeli media outlet, reported Monday that some mediators are attempting to establish a temporary 45-day ceasefire in the current conflict, during which negotiations to end the war would take place. Effectively, this proposal implies that the shadow of war would persist even throughout these 45 days.
While there has been no official response yet, Axios is widely regarded as a platform linked to Mossad’s psychological operations in the U.S., particularly concerning Iran.
According to analysis from the Tasnim News Agency’s war commentary group:
Former U.S. President Donald Trump may be seeking to step back from this threat for a third time, fully aware of Iran’s decisive stance on any attacks targeting power plants or critical infrastructure. Such reports could be designed to prepare the public or policymakers for potential developments, though this remains speculative.
Iran has consistently opposed temporary ceasefires that leave the shadow of war intact. For example, the country recently rejected a 48-hour ceasefire proposal. The rationale is clear: American and Israeli forces, facing logistical and strategic pressures, might exploit short-term ceasefires to replenish resources and gain strategic advantages without meeting Iran’s security conditions.
A ceasefire that does not meet Iran’s conditions effectively allows the adversary to regroup while maintaining military, political, and economic pressure on Iran.
Iranian officials have repeatedly emphasized that the war can only end under strict conditions, including concrete guarantees against future aggression from the United States and Israel, alongside other non-negotiable terms.
The status of the Strait of Hormuz is also a central concern; Iranian authorities have indicated that it will not revert to pre-war conditions under any temporary arrangement.
In summary, Iran’s position remains clear: temporary ceasefires that maintain the shadow of war are unacceptable, and any resolution must fully address the country’s security and strategic demands.
