SAEDNEWS: The spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned a threat made by a U.S. media outlet to assassinate Iran’s negotiators.
According to the political desk of Saed News Agency, Tasnim reported that Esmail Baghaei, spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, reacted to an article published in a hardline American media outlet that threatened Iranian negotiators with assassination.
Writing on the social platform X, he stated: While U.S. officials accuse Iran of lacking “good faith” and engaging in “extortion,” certain circles within American policymaking and media openly suggest that if negotiations fail, Iranian negotiators should be assassinated.
He added: Does this approach not reflect a political discourse that, by resorting to intimidation and openly inciting assassination, violence, and killing, seeks to normalize extortion?
He emphasized that such open incitement to state terrorism must be condemned by all.
