Iran’s 14th Government Spokesperson: Honesty with the People, Justice in Education, and Smart Diplomacy

According to Saed News quoting ISNA, Fatemeh Mohajerani, the spokesperson for Iran’s 14th government, in an interview expressed gratitude for the patience and cooperation of the people during the difficult conditions of the past year and elaborated on the administration’s main achievements and challenges ahead.

She noted that the cabinet was “practically formed during wartime,” as its establishment coincided with the tragic martyrdom of the President. She explained:
“In such circumstances, the government faced major economic imbalances and deemed it necessary to explain the path transparently and honestly to the people, without concealment.”

Justice in Education and Public Calm as Two Key Priorities

Mohajerani highlighted the administration’s slogans of “Justice Movement” and “Calm Movement,” stressing that education is the core of justice. She revealed that the President has held nearly 50 meetings with Ministry of Education officials.
She defined justice in two dimensions—justice of access and justice of quality—stating that the President has initiated neighborhood-based planning using grassroots capacities, with the main goal of strengthening the quality of public schools.

Explaining the “Calm Movement,” she emphasized that the most important factor is honesty with the people:
“No official finds it easy to talk about power outages, but circumstances forced us. The people cooperated. The President has also ordered that no decision against national interests or people’s demands should be taken.”

Responding to Public Concerns: Livelihoods, Small Industries, and Filtering

Addressing concerns about livelihoods, economic imbalances affecting small industries, and promises like lifting internet filtering, Mohajerani said:
“The government is fully aware of the impact of imbalances on the economy. We preferred not to cut electricity to industries so that jobs would not be harmed.”

She listed the solutions for energy challenges as investment in solar power, reforming consumption culture, and repairing power plants, expressing hope that “conditions will improve by this autumn.”

On livelihoods, she reiterated the President’s continued focus on people’s well-being and mentioned the distribution of commodity coupons as a relief tool.

Regarding internet filtering, Mohajerani said that expert studies confirmed this measure increases costs. She stated that the government is pursuing the promise of lifting restrictions, but “in some platforms, it has not yet been implemented.”

Foreign Policy Strategy: Smart Use of Diplomacy

On international relations, Mohajerani described diplomacy as a strategic asset:
“War and negotiation are both strategic tools that must be used appropriately.”

Her remarks came as Iran’s Foreign Minister also stressed the continuation of talks with foreign counterparts.
