American Media: Israel’s Missile Defense Capability Will Only Last 10 to 12 Days

According to SAEDNEWS, quoting IRNA, estimates show that Israel’s missile defense costs approximately $285 million per night.

As a result, observers believe that a prolonged war of attrition between Israel and Iran may not be sustainable at the current intensity.

An informed source said some assessments indicate that without resupply of equipment from the U.S. or greater involvement of American forces, Israel can only maintain its missile defense for another 10 to 12 days.

He added that by the end of this week, Israeli systems might have to ration defensive ammunition, resulting in fewer interceptions. The source, who wished to remain anonymous, said: “They will have to choose which missiles to intercept. The system is currently under heavy strain.”

Tal Inbar, an Israeli missile expert affiliated with the Missile Defense Alliance in Virginia, noted that in 2014, Israel sought a ceasefire with Hamas just days before its interceptor missiles were depleted. Inbar said the current level of interceptor missile stockpiles in Israel is a very sensitive issue, but it could again be a factor leading to a ceasefire.

He added that one of Israel’s problems is its heavy reliance on the relatively expensive Arrow system, with each missile costing about $3 million.

Inbar explained that while Iron Dome interceptors are inexpensive, mass-produced, and effective against the basic missiles launched by Hamas, Iron Dome interceptors are like “firing a 9mm pistol” against heavy Iranian missiles that dive toward targets at several times the speed of sound from outside the atmosphere, making them ineffective.

In the early hours of Friday, June 13, 2025 (23 Khordad 1404), following a terrorist attack by the Zionist regime on Tehran and several other cities, a number of military commanders, scientists, and civilians were martyred.

Following this crime by the Zionist regime, the Supreme Leader of Iran addressed the great Iranian nation in a message, stating: “The regime must expect a severe punishment. The powerful hand of the Islamic Republic’s armed forces will not leave it unpunished, God willing.”
