According to Saednews, Bharati Jain, an Indian man widely described as the world's richest beggar, has attracted global attention after reports estimated his net worth at more than $1 million, accumulated over many years through begging.
Despite owning a two-bedroom apartment in Mumbai and two rental shops that generate hundreds of dollars in monthly income, Jain reportedly continues to beg at busy railway stations and crowded public areas to earn his daily income.
According to the reports, Jain spends 10 to 12 hours a day begging and is said to earn close to $1,000 per day. Over the years, he invested his earnings in real estate and now lives with his family in an apartment valued at approximately $150,000. His two rented shops reportedly provide an additional $400 per month in rental income.
Although Jain was unable to attend school during his childhood, he has used his wealth to ensure that his children receive an education. His family has reportedly encouraged him to stop begging now that he has achieved financial security, but Jain insists on continuing what he considers his regular occupation.
