SAEDNEWS: A refrigerator is an essential electrical appliance, but like any device, it can develop problems during operation, such as heating of the door and body, which, if it exceeds a certain level, indicates a technical fault.
According to SAEDNEWS, Refrigerators and freezers are among the most essential electrical appliances in every home, as they keep food fresh and safe. During refrigerator operation, sometimes the body and side walls become hot; if this heat is excessive and noticeable when touching the door, it indicates a fault or technical issue. In this section, we have explained the causes of refrigerator body overheating and solutions to fix this problem.
If you feel excessive heat when touching the refrigerator door and side walls, the following are the main causes:
A small gap between the refrigerator and the back wall or ceiling is one of the reasons for heating of the refrigerator sides and body. If the refrigerator is placed too close to the wall behind it and surrounded by cabinets, due to lack of air circulation, the condenser pipes located at the back of the refrigerator become very hot.

One of the causes of overheating in the refrigerator body and side walls is overloading it with too much food. When excessive items are placed inside the refrigerator, the compressor has to work longer and harder to cool and maintain the temperature, and as a result, the condenser pipes at the back and around the door generate more heat.
Another reason for the overheating of the refrigerator body and walls is the accumulation of dust and dirt on the condenser coils. Dirt and dust prevent proper air circulation around the coils and reduce heat exchange efficiency, so the condenser cannot cool down properly. This leads to overheating of the condenser and consequently warming of the refrigerator body and walls.
Make sure the refrigerator has enough standard space from surrounding walls to allow proper air circulation.
Perform regular maintenance and servicing of the refrigerator every 6 months.
Do not overfill the refrigerator.
Avoid frequently or for long periods opening the refrigerator door, because each time the door is opened, cold air escapes and the compressor has to work harder.
