SAEDNEWS: Onion Juice for Hair Growth: How to Prepare It and Effective Hair Masks
According to Saednews, Some researchers suggest that onion juice may help stimulate hair regrowth.
Recent studies indicate that after applying onion juice to the scalp twice a day for two weeks, hair regrowth may begin, potentially replacing lost hair.
For better results, onion juice should be used consistently for at least four weeks.
The nutrients found in onion juice may nourish the hair follicles and, as a result, help increase hair volume, shine, and growth.
The compounds in onion juice may also help prevent hair thinning and breakage.
One theory about why onion juice may be beneficial for hair regrowth is that onions contain sulfur. Sulfur is one of the most abundant minerals in the human body. We need sulfur to produce sufficient amounts of enzymes and proteins.
Sulfur is also found in keratin, which is one of the main components of hair. The sulfur in onion juice may provide hair with nutrients needed for growth.

Onions have antimicrobial properties that may help fight scalp infections. In some cases, scalp infections can contribute to hair loss. A healthy scalp can provide a better environment for stronger hair follicles.
Onions contain antioxidants such as flavonoids. Antioxidants can help protect the body from free radicals. Free radicals contribute to the aging process. For example, free radicals may damage hair follicles and contribute to hair thinning and hair loss.
Reducing or eliminating free radicals may help decrease damage to the hair follicles.
To examine the potential role of onions in hair growth, researchers studied a group of men and women experiencing baldness. Participants applied onion juice to their hair roots twice a day for six weeks.
The results were reported as remarkable. Signs of hair regrowth appeared after only two weeks. Approximately 74% of participants experienced noticeable hair growth after four weeks, and this figure increased to 87% by the end of the sixth week. Interestingly, onion juice appeared to have a greater effect on hair growth in women than in men.
How to Use Onion Juice for Your HairFirst, prepare the required amount of onions and peel them. Grate the onions and place them in a clean cloth. Squeeze the cloth firmly to extract as much onion juice as possible.
Apply the onion juice directly to the scalp and hair roots.
To reduce the strong smell of onion, you can add lemon juice or rose water.
You can also boil half an onion together with three cloves of garlic and two cinnamon sticks in a suitable container with some water. Use this solution regularly on your hair for four consecutive days. Any remaining solution can be stored in a sealed glass container.
Some people may be sensitive to onion juice, so it is best to apply a small amount to the scalp first. If you do not experience any irritation or allergic reaction, you can continue using it.
For better results, the treatment should be continued for at least four weeks.
However, this method may not work for everyone.
Be careful not to get onion juice into your eyes. Contact with the eyes can cause burning and redness. If this happens, immediately rinse your eyes with cold water.
An egg white hair mask may help restore hair thickness and promote hair growth.
First, beat the egg whites thoroughly in a bowl. Leave them at room temperature for one hour. After that, apply the egg white to your dry hair and scalp and leave it on for 20 minutes. Then wash your hair with lukewarm water and a cleansing shampoo. If your hair is dry, use a hair conditioner afterward.
You can also mix egg white with some honey and olive oil and apply the mixture to your hair. It is recommended to use an egg hair mask once a month.

Honey is considered a natural hair moisturizer. It may help reduce hair loss and dandruff while strengthening the hair and supporting faster growth.
Combine half a cup of honey with 1/4 cup of olive oil and warm the mixture slightly. Massage it into your hair and leave it on for 30 minutes. Then rinse your hair with cold water and shampoo.
Hair treatments combining honey and cinnamon, onion and honey, or beeswax are also traditionally considered beneficial for strengthening hair.
Potatoes are a rich source of vitamins A, B, and C, as well as calcium, potassium, iron, and phosphorus. They are traditionally used as a natural treatment to support hair growth and help prevent dryness and premature graying.
Pour 1/2 cup of potato juice into a bowl. Add one tablespoon of honey, a little water, and one egg yolk, then mix the ingredients well.
Apply the mixture to your scalp and leave it on for 30 minutes. Then wash your hair with a mild shampoo.
Doing this once a week may help strengthen and restore weak, brittle hair. After several months, you may notice visible changes in the condition of your hair.
