SAEDNEWS: Sexual relations play an important role in marital life and the psychological well-being of couples. Being aware of the differences in sexual perspectives between men and women helps couples better understand each other’s desires and needs, contributing to family stability and a lasting relationship.
According to Saednews news-analysis, citing Khat-e Salamat, we are all familiar with the cliché that men think about sex 24/7. But is there any truth to this?
Researchers in a recent study examined how many times per day men and women think about sex. The popular belief that men think about sex every 7 seconds is not true. In fact, a study published in the Journal of Sex Research shows that although men do think about sex more often than women, the difference is not as extreme as commonly believed.
The results show that men think about sex on average 19 times per day. These thoughts can be triggered by things such as watching a movie scene, seeing an image, everyday conversations, or personal fantasies.
For women, the average is about 10 times per day. However, there is significant variation among individuals—some people think about it more frequently, others less.
Researchers also found that the more comfortable a person feels with their own sexuality and sexual relationships, and the more positive their attitudes toward it are, the more often they tend to think about it.
