According to Saed News, citing Simorgh, a 22-year-old girl suffering from “Sleeping Beauty Syndrome” is required to sleep for about six months of the year. She is only awake for one to two hours a day to eat. Over the past five years, she has spent around 75% of her time asleep.
Beth Goodier began working as a child psychology intern at a school immediately after completing her university studies.
Her outstanding performance initially suggested a bright future. However, exactly five years ago, close to her 17th birthday, she suddenly fell into a deep sleep and did not return to normal wakefulness for six months.

Her mother stated that over the past five years, her daughter has been asleep for about 75% of the time. She sleeps more than 22 hours a day and only wakes up briefly to eat, drink water, and use the bathroom.
Doctors have diagnosed her as one of the few people in the world with a rare condition called Kleine–Levin syndrome, also known as “Sleeping Beauty Syndrome.”
