SAEDNEWS: A group of American chemists and physicians, after conducting extensive studies and research on people who were dying or had returned from death, found that the moment of death and the few minutes leading up to it can create a feeling in individuals that is very similar to watching an extremely frightening horror movie.

What Happens to the Body One Minute Before Death?

According to a report by Saed News, citing the Borna News Agency, the human brain undergoes a reaction in these conditions that is similar to the response it has while watching a very frightening movie. But what causes this intense fear and panic in the human brain shortly before death?

According to scientific research, fear is the main factor behind this reaction. When a person unconsciously senses danger, fear takes control, and a part of the brain called the thalamus becomes highly sensitive to stress and emotional pressure. Under these circumstances, it responds by releasing certain hormones and chemical substances.

Researchers say that about one minute before death, a person may experience a feeling of fear accompanied by sensations similar to falling, flying, or a collision. During this stage, the hypothalamus triggers the release of adrenaline throughout the body to prepare it for an appropriate response.

These studies suggest that, in many cases, people at the moment of death may attempt to scream, much like someone watching a horror movie. However, no sound is heard—not even by the person themselves—because breathing has stopped and the brain is gradually losing its ability to function.
