SAEDNEWS: Iran’s parliament speaker said Wednesday that Iran and the Resistance Front remain united in opposing what he described as U.S. “arrogance.” He warned that abandoning the struggle would amount to accepting defeat.

Resistance Front Unites Against the US: Qalibaf

According to Saednews, Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf told Basem Naim, Hamas’s official for Islamic communications, that the central struggle of the Resistance Front was a battle between truth and falsehood and a confrontation with arrogance. He said that over the past five decades, the spirit of resistance had repeatedly taken on new forms.

“We do not reject negotiations, but negotiations are a tool of struggle. If one day we stop confronting America and the Zionist regime in their various forms, that day will mark our defeat,” Qalibaf said.

Regarding the Iran-U.S. memorandum of understanding, Qalibaf said Iran had insisted on Article 1, which focused on ending the war against Iran and its allies within the Resistance Front. He added that the other side had initially proposed a 15-point agreement demanding a complete halt to Iran’s missile, nuclear, and resistance-related activities.

Qalibaf stressed that all components of the Resistance Front were interconnected and needed to be maintained as part of the ongoing struggle between truth and falsehood. “Today, even pro-American governments in the region acknowledge that America is the source of insecurity in the region,” he said.

Addressing the Strait of Hormuz, Qalibaf said the United States must first fulfil its commitments under the Islamabad memorandum of understanding before Iran would consider reopening the waterway.

Naim, meanwhile, described Iran’s military and political actions as a source of pride for the region. He said many countries had been surprised by Iran’s performance against the United States, while Hamas had anticipated that the enemy would be caught off guard when direct confrontation began.

Naim added that the Palestinians would continue their confrontation with the Zionist regime until its presence was removed from Palestinian territory.
