According to the technology service of Saed News Agency, the animation studio “Gandocraft,” in its latest work, has once again attracted the attention of social media users and media professionals by releasing a professional LEGO-style 3D animation. The video, which uses the famous song “Habibi, come to Dubai,” presents a sharp, satirical, and dual-layered narrative of both the visible and hidden realities of Dubai.

The animation begins by showcasing Dubai’s shining skyscrapers, luxury cars, and tourist attractions. However, it quickly shifts direction and presents a very different image of the city-state: a desert filled with locusts, ruins, smoke caused by missile strikes, and the symbolic collapse of famous towers in this so-called “oil paradise.”

The creators of this work, using an ironic and critical tone, address issues such as the United Arab Emirates’ heavy dependence on oil-based wealth, the departure of artificial intelligence investors amid regional security threats, and the fragile and so-called “plastic” nature of Dubai’s development model.

In the final scene of the animation, a man is shown standing among the ruins of collapsed towers, holding a “Welcome to Dubai” sign.

This critical animation, which gained more than 45,000 views in less than 24 hours, has sparked widespread reactions on social media. Many users and experts have described it as a “political satire masterpiece.” The Gandocraft studio had previously gained recognition for producing critical animations depicting political and social challenges.
