According to SaedNews: A senior NATO official has said that any lasting solution aimed at reopening the Strait of Hormuz would require an agreement with Iran.
According to Reuters, NATO spokesman General Alexus Grynkewich said the alliance had held a video meeting with members to discuss possible participation in efforts concerning the Strait of Hormuz.
The NATO official stressed that the issue does not fall under a NATO mission and that the alliance would have only a facilitating role.
He also emphasized that a long-term arrangement for reopening the Strait of Hormuz cannot be achieved without an agreement with Iran.
