SAEDNEWS: Pezeshkian Urges New Iranian Ambassadors to Strengthen Diplomatic Ties and Fulfill International Agreements

President Pezeshkian Calls on Ambassadors to Advance Diplomacy and Honor International Agreements

According to Saednews, President Masoud Pezeshkian has called on Iran’s newly appointed ambassadors to pursue constructive diplomatic engagement and strengthen bilateral cooperation with their host countries, despite existing challenges and external restrictions.

He made the remarks on Tuesday during a farewell ceremony for Iran’s incoming ambassadors to Kyrgyzstan, New Zealand, Japan, Burkina Faso and Cyprus, wishing them success in their diplomatic missions.

Pezeshkian stressed that Iranian diplomatic missions must remain committed to constructive engagement, overcome obstacles and make the most of available opportunities to expand bilateral relations and joint cooperation.

He emphasized that ambassadors’ duties should go beyond political engagement, focusing also on identifying areas of mutual potential and facilitating the implementation of existing agreements and memorandums of understanding.

The president said economic, trade, scientific and cultural cooperation, alongside other areas of shared interest, should be central to Iran’s diplomatic agenda.

He also urged ambassadors to make effective use of regional and international organizations to promote cooperation with their host countries, while encouraging greater involvement of the private sector and business communities in expanding commercial and economic ties.

Pezeshkian further underlined the need for Iranian diplomatic missions to gain a comprehensive understanding of their host countries’ economic, scientific and cultural capabilities and establish effective links between government institutions, businesses and private-sector stakeholders on both sides.

At the ceremony, the newly appointed ambassadors presented potential areas of cooperation with their respective host countries and reaffirmed their commitment to implementing the government’s foreign policy and strengthening bilateral relations.

The new ambassadors are Zahra Saei to Kyrgyzstan, Hamid Nirabadi to New Zealand, Mohammadreza Nazeri to Japan, Hossein Taghdar to Burkina Faso and Mohsen Shamsizadeh to Cyprus.
