SAEDNEWS: IRGC Navy Reports Another Oil Tanker Striking a Sea Mine in the Strait of Hormuz
According to Saednews, The public relations office of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Navy announced in a statement on Saturday that a supertanker carrying crude oil had suffered a massive explosion after striking a naval mine while navigating an unauthorized route through the Strait of Hormuz.
The statement said the supertanker had switched off its navigation and positioning systems and was engulfed in flames following the explosion. It added that the fire was clearly visible to residents living along the coast.
The statement further warned that severe fires could be the consequence for any tanker that violates regulations and disregards security measures in the Strait of Hormuz.
