SAEDNEWS: Trump Administration Reportedly Prepares Sanctions Against Entire ICC
According to Saednews, Reuters reported that the Trump administration has prepared sanctions targeting the International Criminal Court (ICC) and is expected to announce them soon.
The news agency cited two sources familiar with the matter.
The United States has been seeking to persuade the ICC to withdraw its arrest warrants for Israeli officials, including Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and has already sanctioned several judges and prosecutors associated with the court.
Extending sanctions to the entire organization, as well as to entities that cooperate with it, could significantly disrupt the ICC’s operations. The court’s registrar and president have warned that the measures could affect a range of activities, including purchasing IT services and insurance, recruiting investigators, and conducting routine financial transactions such as paying dozens of US-based employees.
