SAEDNEWS: Iranian Officials Respond to IAEA Governors’ Adoption of Anti-Iran Resolution

West Fails to Advance Anti-Iran Agenda at UN Security Council

According to Saednews, Kazem Gharibabadi said in a social media post that the attacks on Iran’s nuclear facilities disrupted the normal verification process. He argued that this disruption was subsequently used as a pretext to advance an anti-Iran resolution at the IAEA Board of Governors.

The Iranian deputy foreign minister described the adoption of the Western-drafted resolution as a politically motivated move, saying it would ultimately have no meaningful outcome.

Meanwhile, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei criticized the political decision to refer Iran’s nuclear issue to the UN Security Council, calling it “contradictory” and “baseless.”

Baghaei said referring Iran’s nuclear case to the Security Council was “completely irrelevant,” arguing that Iran had committed no act of non-compliance.
