Iran Vows Strong Response to Any Hostile Action

According to Saednews, Iran’s air defense commander has warned that any mistake by the country’s adversaries will receive a firm response, Press TV reported Monday.

Brigadier General Alireza Elhami, who heads Iran’s Joint Headquarters of Air Defense, made the remarks following US attacks on Iranian military positions on the southern island of Larak.

Iran responded shortly afterward by targeting US assets in the region.

The exchange of fire came more than a month after the United States launched attacks on areas along Iran’s southern coastline. Iran responded with extensive missile and drone operations against US bases across the region.

Elhami said Iran’s air defense forces had introduced several new interception systems in recent days.

According to the commander, the domestically developed systems were produced using experience gained during the US-Israeli military campaign against Iran, which ended with a ceasefire in mid-April.

He said the unveiling of the new systems sends an important message to Iran’s adversaries.

However, Elhami stressed that Iran would continue to keep technical details and information about its domestically produced weapons confidential.

“By keeping this information confidential, we can make better use of them on the scene,” Elhami said, according to Press TV.

The general emphasized that the new systems are intended solely to counter threats from Iran’s adversaries. He added that Iran continues to maintain friendly and peaceful relations with neighboring countries and other states in the region.
