The report claims that demonstrators gathered outside the property on Saturday, before Iran's large-scale retaliatory operation.

The residence is described as a luxury villa in Jerusalem owned by Simon Falic, an American-Jewish billionaire and longtime associate of Netanyahu. According to the report, the property has advanced missile-defense capabilities, making it a secure location during periods of heightened regional tensions.

Maariv reportedly stated that this is not the first time Netanyahu has stayed at the villa. Following the October 7 attacks, he and his wife, Sara Netanyahu, were also said to have lived there during the first month of the war.

Earlier reports further claimed that Netanyahu brought his personal chef to the residence. The move was criticized because the prime minister's chef is a government employee rather than a private staff member, raising questions about compliance with official regulations.

The report also noted that the villa's security infrastructure, including its missile-defense systems, received media attention in July 2021 and was reportedly upgraded again to accommodate the prime minister after recent security developments.
