SAEDNEWS: A Wall Street Journal report alleges that the UAE opened its airspace and supported U.S. airstrikes on Iranian targets, with Abu Dhabi expected to receive strategic benefits in return.
According to the political news desk of Saed News, The Wall Street Journal reported that the United Arab Emirates (UAE), after assisting the United States in its military campaign against Iran—including participating in dozens of airstrikes targeting Iran—has reportedly received broader access to U.S. artificial intelligence chips and other strategic benefits in return.
The U.S. Department of Commerce announced that it has eased export restrictions on the UAE, expanding the country's access to military equipment, advanced technologies, and items related to the aerospace industry. Washington said the decision reflects Abu Dhabi's support for U.S. national security interests, including its cooperation in what it described as "Operation Midnight Hammer" against Iran.
Various unofficial reports had previously suggested that Abu Dhabi played a role in the conflict involving Iran.
