According to Saednews, The statement from the Office of the US Senator said that Senator Lindsey Graham died on the evening of Saturday, July 11, after a brief and sudden illness. His family requested prayers and privacy during this difficult time.
Lindsey Graham, a Republican senator representing South Carolina since 2003, was a significant figure in American politics. He served on several important Senate committees and was widely recognized for his involvement in national security and foreign policy discussions.
Although Graham was initially a critic of Donald Trump during the 2016 presidential campaign, he later became one of Trump’s strongest supporters and a close ally within the Republican Party. He frequently supported Trump’s policies and remained an influential conservative voice.
Before serving in the Senate, Graham was a member of the US House of Representatives from 1995 to 2003 and previously served in the South Carolina House of Representatives. He also had a legal career and worked as a military lawyer in the US Air Force Reserve.
Graham had also sought the Republican presidential nomination in the 2016 election but ended his campaign before the primary voting began.
