SAEDNEWS: US President’s conflict with his self-created crisis following the attack on Iran has led him, out of fear of being booed, to skip attending the United States’ opening match at the World Cup.
According to the Political Service of the Saed News analytical news website, booing of Donald Trump at stadiums in the United States has recently become a common occurrence. In this regard, Andrew Giuliani, head of the World Cup Task Force, confirmed today (Friday) that Trump will not attend the opening match of the U.S. national team against Paraguay.
Over the past year, Trump has been booed at sports stadiums (football and basketball) three times. Last week, during the NBA Finals, the U.S. president was also booed by spectators at the arena in New York.
These days, Trump is reportedly involved in the Iran conflict and, according to analysts, is seeking a way out of what they describe as a self-created crisis in the Middle East.
Giuliani cited the president’s busy schedule as the reason for his absence, saying: “Trump will ultimately not attend the opening match. As we said, his schedule is packed. But I know he will be engaged with the World Cup throughout the tournament.”
Reports indicate that Trump has faced confirmed booing at least three major official sporting events (NBA, NFL, US Open), with such reactions typically being more intense in major cities like New York.
