SAEDNEWS: Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi condemned the US-Israeli attacks on the country’s industrial infrastructure, peaceful nuclear facilities, and civilian areas as blatant war crimes, warning of serious regional and humanitarian consequences.
According to SAEDNEWS, Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Araqchi and his Egyptian counterpart Badr Abdelatty held a telephone conversation on Saturday night to discuss the recent US and Israeli military actions against Iran and their broader regional and international consequences.
During the call, Araqchi detailed what he described as unprecedented war crimes by the United States and the Israeli regime, including attacks on Iran’s industrial and production infrastructure, peaceful nuclear facilities, and civilian areas, such as residential neighborhoods.
He emphasized that all nations, especially those in the region, have a responsibility to support peace and stability and to refrain from any form of assistance or complicity with the aggressors. Araqchi also warned that such attacks could lead to severe humanitarian and environmental consequences, highlighting the need for a strong international response to clear violations of international law.
Abdelatty, for his part, stressed the importance of ongoing diplomatic efforts and the use of available channels to help bring the conflict to an end.
The US and Israeli regimes launched a large-scale, unprovoked military campaign against Iran following the assassination of the then-Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei, alongside several senior military commanders and civilians on February 28. The attacks included extensive aerial strikes on both military and civilian sites across Iran, resulting in significant casualties and widespread damage to infrastructure.
In retaliation, the Iranian Armed Forces have conducted operations targeting US and Israeli positions in occupied territories and regional bases, employing waves of missiles and drones.
