SAEDNEWS: The child of martyred Lieutenant General Qassem Soleimani rejected a claim made by the U.S. State Department, emphasizing that the individuals detained in the United States have no connection to the late Soleimani.
According to the multimedia service of Saed News, citing ISNA, Zeinab Soleimani, daughter of the late Major General Qassem Soleimani, wrote on her account on the Viraasty social network:
“The individuals arrested in the United States have no connection whatsoever to Martyr Soleimani, and the claim made by the U.S. Department of State is false.
They have become so weak and insignificant that, by fabricating lies against a great figure like ‘Haj Qassem’—whose very name they fear—they are attempting to divert global public opinion from their defeat against the Iranian nation.
Their inability to confront the Iranian people has brought them to a point where they have shifted their objective from regime change to producing false news and spreading lies about the family of Martyr Soleimani.”
According to ISNA, hours earlier the United States Department of State had claimed that two relatives of Qassem Soleimani had been detained in the United States.
