SAEDNEWS: In response to recent reports of American troop deployments to the region amid the ongoing US-Israeli military aggression against Iran, Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf reaffirmed the country’s determination to safeguard its sovereignty.
According to SAEDNEWS, “We are closely monitoring all U.S. movements in the region, especially the deployment of their soldiers,” said Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf, Speaker of the Iranian Parliament, in a post on his X account Wednesday.
“What the U.S. generals have destroyed, the soldiers cannot fix; instead, they will only become victims of Netanyahu's illusions,” he added.
“Do not test our resolve to defend our land,” Qalibaf told U.S. officials.
The warning comes amid heightened tensions following the assassination of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei, along with several senior military commanders and civilians on February 28. In retaliation, the U.S. and Israeli regime launched a large-scale, unprovoked military campaign against Iran.
The attacks involved extensive aerial strikes on both military and civilian locations across Iran, resulting in significant casualties and widespread infrastructure damage.
In response, the Iranian Armed Forces carried out retaliatory operations, targeting American and Israeli positions in the occupied territories and at regional bases using waves of missiles and drones.
