SAEDNEWS: The U.S. President Claimed That Iran Must Negotiate to Reach a Fair Agreement
According to a political report by Saed News, citing Al Jazeera, U.S. President Donald Trump claimed late Friday night that negotiations with Iran are continuing.
Without referring to previous rounds of talks with Tehran or to the threats made in recent days and hours, Trump asserted that Iran must negotiate for what he described as a fair agreement.
Adopting what critics have called a contradictory tone, Trump added that it would be “very wise” for Iran to negotiate with the United States.
Meanwhile, Iran’s Foreign Minister, Seyed Abbas Araghchi, told NBC News that there is no military solution to Iran’s nuclear program.
“One point must be emphasized,” Araghchi said. “There is no military solution for Iran’s nuclear program. This has already been tested. Extensive attacks were carried out against our facilities, and our scientists were assassinated, but they could not eliminate our nuclear program. Why? Because this program has been developed by our own scientists. This technology belongs to us and cannot be destroyed through bombing or military action. The only solution is diplomacy. That is why the United States has returned to the negotiating table and is seeking an agreement. We are ready for peace, ready for diplomacy—just as we are ready to defend ourselves.”
Araghchi stressed that if anyone is seeking a solution to Iran’s nuclear program and wants to ensure it remains peaceful, the only viable path is a diplomatic one.
Addressing speculation about uranium enrichment, he said such claims are inaccurate. “We are currently working together. We have not proposed any suspension, and the American side has not raised the issue of ‘zero enrichment.’”
He also described successive U.S. administrations’ policies toward Iran as hostile. “First of all, we do not consider the American people our enemies. We regard the policies of the U.S. government toward Iran as hostile. When these hostilities stop, perhaps we can begin to think about a different kind of relationship.”
