SAEDNEWS: Yemen’s National Human Rights Commission strongly condemned what it described as a war crime committed by American forces in an attack on a wedding ceremony in Sirik, Iran.
According to Saednews, Yemen’s National Human Rights Commission has strongly condemned the reported US attack on a wedding ceremony in Sirik County, Hormozgan Province, Iran, which allegedly killed and injured dozens of civilians.
In a statement, the commission described the incident as a serious violation of international humanitarian law and the Geneva Conventions, which protect civilians and residential areas during armed conflicts.
The Yemeni commission accused the United States of carrying out a “treacherous and criminal aggression” and held the US government responsible for the deaths of civilians and the fear caused among local residents.
It called for an immediate, independent international investigation into the incident and urged that those responsible be prosecuted before international courts.
The commission characterized the reported attack as both a crime against humanity and a war crime, stressing that such offenses cannot be subject to a statute of limitations.
It also said the deaths of innocent Iranian civilians would not be forgotten and condemned those who participated in, justified, or remained silent about the reported attack.
Meanwhile, Yemen’s Foreign Ministry reaffirmed its support for the Iranian people and government amid what it described as renewed US aggression against Iran.
