Saed News: U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent says the United States government has seized $1 billion worth of Iranian cryptocurrency.
According to SAEDNEWS, the U.S. Treasury Secretary has claimed that the country’s government has confiscated $1 billion of Iranian assets.
In recent days, the issue of releasing $12 billion in frozen Iranian assets had been raised as a precondition for a potential agreement.
Crypto assets are, from a legal perspective, traceable, and it is unclear under what legal basis the United States has taken action to seize this amount of cryptocurrency attributed to Iranians.
