According to SAEDNEWS, After the announcement of the ban on the Pahlavi flag in the World Cup matches during Iran’s national team games, the Haaretz newspaper today (Wednesday) addressed the issue with dissatisfaction and wrote: FIFA has banned the flag of opponents of the Iranian regime at the World Cup, and this is against freedom of expression.
According to FIFA regulations, fans in stadiums are not allowed to use political symbols, insult the sanctities and officials of a country, or engage in any action against the culture and official flag of that country.
Yesterday, the reputable publication The Athletic, citing an informed FIFA source, reported the ban on bringing flags from the pre-revolution era of Iran (Pahlavi) into stadiums at the World Cup.
Israel’s Kan network also criticized FIFA, saying that this action restricts freedom of expression in World Cup competitions.
This Zionist media outlet, with dissatisfaction, criticized FIFA for being obliged to implement Iran’s 10 conditions for participating in the 2026 World Cup in the United States.
