Mazichal Village in Mazandaran, with its beautiful scenery and cloud-covered nature, has created a dreamy setting for tourists. Join us to explore this amazing village.
Mazichal is the name of a beautiful village near Kelardasht, located at an altitude of 2,600 meters, keeping you above the clouds. It is considered one of the tourist destinations and scenic spots of Kelardasht in Mazandaran Province. Mazichal lies in Mazandaran, near Kelardasht and 48 kilometers from Chalus. Standing on the heights of Mazichal and gazing at the sea of clouds in front of you brings an indescribable feeling. Even if the sea of clouds does not naturally form, your view will extend from Chalus to the outskirts of Ramsar.
To reach Mazichal, take the Chalus Road to Marzanabad, then head toward Kelardasht. From the main square in Kelardasht, drive about 7 kilometers on the Abbasabad road to reach the beginning of the Mazichal dirt road. From there, continue 17 kilometers uphill to reach the plateau. Now you’re at the heights of Mazichal.
According to some sources, "Maz" or "Mazi" in the local dialect means oak tree, and "Chal" means a pit or depression. However, this is not entirely accurate, as according to Dehkhoda's dictionary, "Maz" means something full of curves or folds, and the name "Mazandaran" is also derived from this word.
Besides the village’s own beauty, there are unique tourist attractions around Mazichal and in the lovely area of Kelardasht. These include Valasht Lake, the village of Kordichal, the ancient Kalar Mound, Alam-Kuh Mountain, the villages of Siah Bisheh and Harijan, Majel Forest, the Bagh-e-Chaman recreation complex, Ejabat Palace, and the scenic Kelardasht Road.
In autumn, the forests at the beginning of the road offer dreamy, colorful landscapes, while in spring, the heights are covered with beautiful seasonal flowers, and the snow-capped peaks in the surroundings add to the view. Summer is the most suitable season for overnight stays. All in all, the best time to visit Mazichal is from mid-spring to late summer.
