SAEDNEWS: Iran Must Immediately Provide the IAEA with Accurate Data on Its Nuclear Materials and Safeguarded Facilities
According to the political news service of Saed News, the United States and the European trio have submitted a draft resolution to this week’s Board of Governors meeting, calling for the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) to gain access to Iran’s nuclear sites that were targeted during the 12-day war by the U.S. and Israel.
Reuters, cited by ISNA, reports that the draft, presented Tuesday by the U.S., U.K., Germany, and France, states: “The Islamic Republic of Iran must promptly provide the IAEA with precise information on its nuclear material inventories and nuclear facilities under safeguards in Iran, and grant all necessary access for verification of this information.”
Earlier, Kazem Gharibabadi, Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister for Legal and International Affairs, warned about the U.S. and European efforts to push a resolution against Iran at the upcoming Board of Governors meeting, saying: “Actions pursued by the U.S. and some countries regarding this resolution will naturally lead to the complete abandonment of the understanding previously reached in Cairo.”
