SAEDNEWS: The sales of Iranian crude during the first four months of the current Persian year have increased by 21,000 barrels per day compared to a year earlier, the minister of oil said.
Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of a weekly cabinet meeting on Wednesday, Mohsen Paknejad said Iran has currently no problem in selling its crude.
He said it is a delight to announce that during the first four months of the current Persian year (March 21- July 22), Iran has sold 21,000 barrels more oil per day than the corresponding period last year.
The minister said Iran’s monthly crude sales have risen by around 630,000 barrels compared to the four-month period in 2024.
Paknejad also noted that one of his ministry’s main challenges is to attract financing for expanding the capacity of oil production to 4.8 million bpd.
Last month, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian attended a joint meeting of the National Development Fund's Board of Trustees and Minister of Oil Mohsen Paknejad, focusing on the timeline for a plan to increase oil production by 250,000 barrels per day.
The initiative aims to finance unfinished projects in more than 40 oil fields across Iran. The plan is expected to lead to a significant boost in crude production.
