SAEDNEWS: On Sunday, Iran triumphed over Nepal with a score of 3-2 (25-16, 16-25, 25-23, 15-25, 15-13) in the CAVA Women’s Volleyball Nations League.
According to SAEDNEWS, The Persians began their campaign with a 3-1 loss to India, but quickly bounced back by defeating Sri Lanka 3-2 and achieving a decisive 3-0 victory over the Maldives. With these results, Team Melli managed to ascend to the top of the table.
The competition kicked off at the National Sports Council in Kathmandu, Nepal, on August 1, generating excitement among fans and players alike. According to the tournament format, all five participating teams are competing in a single round robin, where they will be ranked from first to fifth place based on their performances. The team finishing in the bottom fifth position will be eliminated from the competition.
The teams that secure the top four spots will then advance to the cross semifinals on August 6. In these matchups, the first-ranked team will face the fourth place, while the second-ranked team will contest with the third place. The two victorious teams will then compete in the final showdown on August 7, vying for the coveted championship title. The stakes are high, and the quality of play is expected to be intense as the tournament progresses.
