Prophethood is not an acquired position; rather, it is a divine gift that God grants to whomever He wills and considers appropriate. The Qur’an states: “Allah knows best where to place His message.” Therefore, the fact that no prophet was sent from Joseph’s descendants does not imply that his descendants were unimportant or unworthy.
