In a suitable bowl, combine 1 cup of warm milk with yeast and 1 tablespoon of sugar. Stir well. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let it rest for about 15 minutes until it becomes frothy.
Once frothy, add vegetable oil, egg, salt, and the remaining sugar to the mixture. Stir until fully combined.
Sift the flour in three stages. Gradually add the sifted flour to the mixture and knead by hand until the dough forms.
Cover the dough with plastic wrap and a towel. Let it rest for about 1 hour until it doubles in size.
Lightly flour your work surface and place the dough on it. Sprinkle a little flour on top and knead until the dough is soft and smooth.
Divide the dough into two equal parts and shape each into a ball. Lightly flour a flat surface and roll out the dough to your desired shape. Grease a baking tray and place the dough on it.
