Bitter Admission by U.S. Secretary of State: Iran’s Situation Is Calm, But …

According to SaedNews political service, citing RT, while experts believe the United States and the Israeli regime are behind the unrest in Iran, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio claimed at a congressional session that protests in Iran have subsided but will flare up again in the future.

Rubio asserted that the Islamic Republic cannot address the economic demands of its people, noting that the maximum pressure campaign by the first Trump administration against Iran over the past four years has failed.

At the same time, he highlighted Iran’s influence globally, stating that Venezuela was a key hub for Iran’s operations in the Western Hemisphere.

Rubio, who has a long history of hostility toward the Iranian nation, added that the Iranian regime may be weaker than ever and lacks a path to address the core economic demands of protesters.

During the recent unrest, the U.S. president had reportedly called for protesters to take to the streets and seize government offices. However, Iranian demonstrators, remaining vigilant, distanced themselves from the rioters, leaving the unrest isolated and causing the U.S. plan to fail.
