If you’re not planning to travel to distant cities during the Nowruz holidays, consider visiting this waterfall, which is not far from Tehran and also features a short and easy hiking trail.
Ayineh Rood Farah Afza Waterfall is located in Tehran Province, 2 kilometers east of Damavand city and the Rooh Afza neighborhood, in the Garubar Valley.
Ayineh Rood Waterfall is one of the tourist attractions of Damavand, offering a pleasant and delightful climate. The presence of willow trees and a flowing river greatly contributes to the pleasant atmosphere of the area. To reach the waterfall, one must pass through the Garubar Valley. In this valley, there are centuries-old juniper and walnut trees, with some reaching a diameter of 14 meters.
The height of Ayineh Rood Waterfall is approximately 30 meters, located at an elevation of 2,057 meters above sea level, nestled in a narrow gorge surrounded by towering mountains. This waterfall, with its crystal-clear water, is situated in the cool, pleasant climate of the Alborz mountain range, making a visit to this area especially enjoyable during the summer.
In the Garubar Valley, there are two other waterfalls named Jangalak Waterfall and Garubar Waterfall. Additionally, if you enter the "Mosha" road from Damavand city, the tourist area of "Cheshmeh A'la" is on your left, where you can spend some time.
Choose appropriate shoes for visiting this waterfall, as you may need to walk through water.
