According to the Art and Media Service of Saed News, Elon Musk was born on June 28, 1971, in Pretoria, South Africa, into a wealthy family. His childhood coincided with the conflicts surrounding apartheid. One night, armed attackers stormed their home, and his father shot and killed all of them. Elon’s share of the experience was witnessing bullets hitting everything around him. Musk never had a good relationship with his father, and his mother had decided years earlier to separate from her husband, but South African law at the time did not yet recognize divorce. His mother, originally a Canadian nutritionist and model, carried out her decision in 1979 as soon as the separation law was passed. The children, however, continued living with their father.
