Tourism Delegates from 50 Countries to Visit Iran

According to SAEDNEWS, Hormatollah Rafiei, head of the Association of Iranian Travel Agencies, announced that numerous tour operators from neighboring countries, alongside those from Europe, Africa, and Latin America, will be visiting Iran between August 23 and September 1.

A group of tourism professionals, including tour operators and experts from 50 countries, has been invited to participate in a 10-day event aimed at boosting Iran’s tourism industry. The goal is to create a profitable influx of international tourists by fostering communication and collaboration during the event.

The event is expected to attract more than 150 tour operators.

As part of the event, there will be negotiations in Shiraz and Tehran, along with visits to cultural and historical sites in these cities.

In a revealing moment that challenges prevailing negative stereotypes, a group of 100 international tour operators from 25 countries traveled to Isfahan, Iran’s ancient city, in February 2025. They were amazed by the country’s actual offerings, which contrasted sharply with the distorted global views they had previously held.

These tour operators participated in a five-day familiarization trip titled the “Isfahan Tour Operator Meeting,” allowing them to explore Iran’s cultural and historical richness, which defied their earlier perceptions. This initiative, organized by the Isfahan Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines, and Agriculture in partnership with both governmental and private sectors, aimed to highlight Isfahan’s historical splendor and hospitality. The event also included B2B meetings to further strengthen international tourism relations.
