SAEDNEWS: Golestan Province, Home to the Beautiful Shirabad Waterfalls – Discover the Natural Beauty and Scenic Attractions of Shirabad.
According to Saednews, Shirabad Khan Waterfalls, often referred to as the Bride of Golestan’s Waterfalls, is one of the most spectacular and picturesque natural attractions in Iran. Every year, thousands of nature enthusiasts, local visitors, and domestic and international tourists are drawn to this remarkable destination. Without a doubt, Shirabad is among the country's most beautiful waterfalls and an excellent destination for nature lovers.
Also known as Khan Bebin Waterfalls, Shirabad consists of a spectacular series of 12 waterfalls of varying sizes, cascading down the landscape like a natural staircase. The largest waterfall is approximately 30 meters high, with pools at its base reaching depths of 40 and 80 meters, respectively. Surrounded by a dense and beautiful forest, the waterfalls create an extraordinary natural setting.
The untouched landscape surrounding Shirabad has made it a peaceful and unspoiled destination. The first waterfall is relatively easy to reach, while accessing the higher waterfalls requires greater hiking experience and physical preparation. As visitors continue from the first waterfall toward the seventh, they encounter increasingly secluded areas where nature remains largely untouched.

The surrounding forests are another remarkable feature of this destination. They are home to a variety of rare and valuable plant species, including yew, elm, and maple trees, which grow abundantly throughout the woodland.
The hiking trail to Shirabad Waterfalls winds through lush forests and alongside beautiful streams and rivers, making the journey itself an unforgettable part of the experience.
The melodious songs of nightingales and other birds can be heard throughout the forest, adding to its peaceful atmosphere.

Shirabad Cave is another fascinating natural attraction in Golestan Province. Formed naturally without human intervention, the cave is located close to the waterfalls.
Situated approximately 350 meters above sea level, the cave has an entrance measuring around 9 to 15 meters in diameter.
A stream of cold water flows from the cave floor and eventually joins the Shirabad River. The cave is located slightly above the waterfalls and takes its name from the nearby village of Shirabad.
Thanks to its favorable natural conditions and permanent water supply, the cave provides a habitat for various vertebrate and invertebrate species, including freshwater amphipods (Gammarus), spiders, freshwater crabs, bats, forest frogs, and the Iranian mountain salamander.

The waterfalls are located less than 20 kilometers from Shirabad Village.
To reach them, follow the road from Khan Bebin toward Shirabad Village for approximately 5 kilometers. After passing through the village, continue along the paved road for another 3 kilometers. From there, take the walking trail that leads directly toward the waterfalls.

The final section of the journey involves hiking through the forest, offering visitors a wonderful opportunity to enjoy the area's natural beauty.

Shirabad Waterfalls is an ideal destination for travelers seeking untouched nature, scenic hiking trails, lush forests, and the peaceful beauty of Golestan Province.
