Tang-e Bostanak is a lush highland area filled with flowing waterfalls, roaring streams, gentle breezes, pleasant sunlight, mountain scenery, and green plains. It is considered one of the most beautiful natural attractions around Shiraz and has earned the name “Lost Paradise.”
This protected area is one of Iran’s designated conservation zones in Fars Province. It is located northwest of Shiraz and features dense vegetation. Throughout the region, visitors can see low waterfalls with abundant water flowing through mountainous slopes. The area is highly suitable for hiking and trekking. In many forested sections, dense tree branches block sunlight, creating continuously shaded and dim environments.
The nearest village to Tang-e Bostanak is Dashtak Village, located in Kamfiruz County. Visitors often stop by this scenic village to enhance their nature experience.
Kamfiruz lies adjacent to the Dena Mountain Range and is considered one of the most important summer highland regions around Shiraz. In recent years, it has gained increasing attention from nature lovers and mountaineers.

Tang-e Bostanak covers an area of about 20,000 hectares and is located approximately 120 kilometers northwest of Shiraz. Elevation varies between 1,700 and 3,700 meters above sea level, with an average altitude of around 2,000 meters in most areas.

To reach the area, travelers head northwest of Shiraz toward Beyza Road, pass through Beyza and Posht-e Bagh villages, then continue toward Haftkhan junction, and proceed toward Kamfiruz. Tang-e Bostanak is located after Kamfiruz and before the village of Mahanjan.

The geographical position of Tang-e Bostanak within the northern and northwestern tourism corridor network, along with its accessibility to major historical sites such as Persepolis, Naqsh-e Rostam, and Pasargadae, as well as natural attractions like Marmoon Waterfall and Tang-e Boragh, gives it special importance for ecotourism development.
The Environmental Protection Organization of Fars Province and tourism authorities have implemented plans to organize tourism zoning in the area. The goal is to provide tourism facilities while reducing environmental pressure caused by uncontrolled visitation.
Since 1999, Tang-e Bostanak has been officially recognized as a protected forest area under the Supreme Council of Environment. In 2009, feasibility studies for its development as a model tourism zone were completed, and it has been included in regional natural tourism master plans.
