SAEDNEWS: Many of Iran’s most beautiful villages are built along the slopes of towering mountains and steep landscapes. The village of Uramanat Takht is a remarkable example of these picturesque Iranian mountain settlements.
According to a SaedNews report citing Fararu, most of Iran’s beautiful villages are known for their untouched natural landscapes, pleasant and healthy climates, distinctive local foods, hospitable residents, and attractive customs and traditions.
The history of civilization in parts of Uramanat Takht dates back up to 40,000 years. This village is located in the Zagros mountain range, and its stone houses are built in a stepped, terraced style similar to Masuleh, rising one above another along the mountainside.
The Sirvan and Lileh rivers bring vitality to the village, while the surrounding forests—filled with wild pear trees, hawthorn, and oak—create a stunning natural landscape. Uramanat Takht is situated at an altitude of 1,450 meters above sea level, which gives it a mild and pleasant climate during spring and summer.
It is worth noting that Uramanat Takht is composed of two sections: a smaller and a larger one. The smaller part belongs to Halabja in Iraq, while the larger section is considered part of Iran’s Kermanshah and Kurdistan provinces. The village itself is traditionally divided into three areas: Hooraman Takht, Zhavro, and Lahun.
To visit this historic village—one of the most beautiful in Iran—you first need to travel to Kurdistan Province. From there, you should head about 75 kilometers southeast of the city of Marivan.
