SAEDNEWS:23-Day-Old Newborn Accompanies Mother to Massage Session, Discussed During Treatment
According to Saednews: A typically developing child usually begins to speak gradually around the age of one, developing the ability to pronounce words and communicate with others depending on various developmental factors. However, it is highly unusual for a newborn who is not even one month old to say any word.
In a video circulating on social media, a 23-day-old Chinese infant appears to suddenly say the word “mama” while receiving a massage, leaving both the nurse and the baby’s mother surprised.
The baby’s mother said: “It is certain that my son unintentionally said the word ‘mama,’ but it was still very surprising for us. Social media users, like us, were also amazed after hearing his voice.”
The moment was recorded while the mother had left her baby with a nurse for a massage and was filming them. During the session, the infant unexpectedly uttered what sounded like the word “mother.” The short 10-second clip was quickly shared online, drawing widespread attention and reactions.
Dr. Zhang Xiaimo, head of the child psychology department at a hospital, told reporters: “Infants between one and two months old do practice vocalization using their vocal organs, such as the throat and lips, but it cannot be said that they intentionally pronounce words. Although this baby appeared to clearly say ‘mama,’ it was in fact an unconscious vocal sound.”
