According to Saed News’ Decoration Service, this project was conceived to create a contemporary landmark that is recognized both as a prominent part of Isfahan’s global architectural heritage and as a source of enjoyment for urban life. Named ā€œRavaq,ā€ the bridge serves two key purposes: connection and leisure. In this way, it functions not only as a thoroughfare but also as a space for strolling, resting, and enjoying views of the Zayandeh River.

The bridge’s structure consists of several harmonious elements. Its main path is a shaded pedestrian walkway with a wavy roof, offering beautiful vistas of the river to passersby. Above this walkway lies a undulating surface, with sections transformed into areas for pausing and observation. Adjacent to the bridge, an enclosed garden has been designed, evoking the feel of a natural oasis.

The bridge is designed to respond to three different river conditions—anticipation of water flow, low water, and full flow—providing diverse experiences and views. The riverbed beneath the bridge is paved with natural stones in a wave pattern, incorporating infrastructure such as fountains, lighting, and spaces for artistic and performance events.

Ravaq Bridge not only serves as a means of connection but also creates a space for pedestrians to interact with nature and Isfahan’s historic environment. By blending contemporary architecture with inspiration from traditional forms, the design offers a fusion of art, functionality, and sustainability, presenting a fresh perspective on life in this historic city.
