SAEDNEWS: We aim to introduce a quick and healthy method for thawing frozen chicken that is highly practical and effective.
According to SAEDNEWS, If you want to cook chicken and are in a hurry, there is a method that works without using a microwave. It is a technique that housewives have been using for years, and it avoids the risks associated with defrosting chicken in the microwave, requiring only some cold water.
This quick method, commonly used in many professional kitchens, is considered one of the best techniques and usually takes about 20 to 30 minutes for frozen chicken to thaw.
Fill a large bowl or container (such as a salad bowl) with cold water, making sure the chicken is completely submerged. Change the water regularly with fresh cold water. If you are busy at the moment, you can also let a small stream of cold water run continuously from the tap.
Do not use hot water, as it increases the risk of food safety issues. The outside may thaw while the inside remains frozen, creating the “danger zone” (41–135°F), a temperature range in which bacteria grow rapidly and can contaminate the food.
Once the chicken pieces begin to loosen, they will separate easily, and the rest of the thawing process will speed up. Continue the process until the chicken is fully defrosted. If you are thawing a whole chicken, ensure that cold water reaches both the inside and outside so it thaws evenly throughout.

Therefore, when you use cold, drinkable running water in the sink for rinsing and thawing, the chicken (and any other meat in general) will defrost quickly and safely. Using running water allows the meat to thaw more evenly and efficiently.
Note: To prevent bacterial growth, cook the chicken immediately after it has thawed, and never refreeze food that has already been defrosted.
