SAEDNEWS: Usually, saffron is brewed like tea, but a new method has also emerged called brewing saffron with ice, which makes the saffron color more vibrant.
According to SAEDNEWS, Until now, we always thought saffron should be brewed with boiling hot water to achieve the highest color release. However, Iran’s “red gold” has another method of brewing as well—one that is completely different, namely using ice. We will explain the best way to do this in this section.
The initial steps are exactly the same as when brewing saffron with boiling water—meaning you should first grind the saffron thoroughly into a fine powder.
Now, instead of using hot water, you need a few ice cubes. Place small pieces of ice into the container where you have already added the powdered saffron (the container must be glass).

At this stage your work is done. Now let the ice cubes melt at room temperature. This is exactly the process that allows the saffron to release its color more effectively and completely.
It is also interesting to note that the experience of people who have used this method shows that brewing saffron with ice makes it not only more aromatic but also more vibrant in color compared to the traditional hot-water method.

In addition, you can store this solution in a suitable, hygienic, airtight container in the freezer, and you can be assured that its color will not change.
