SAEDNEWS: Saffron Ganache: A Simple Two-Ingredient Chocolate Coating for Cakes and Pastries

How to Make Saffron Ganache

According to Saednews, Ganache is a widely used method for decorating cakes and various desserts. It is essentially a mixture of chocolate and cream in different ratios to achieve the desired consistency. You can use ganache to coat a cake, prepare it thicker to pipe like whipped cream, or use it as a filling between cake layers. The type or color of chocolate does not matter—this method is simply called ganache. Today, we will teach you how to make saffron ganache.

Ingredients for Saffron Ganache

  • Fresh cream (5 tbsp) – 50 g

  • Chocolate bar (about 1/3 cup) – 100 g

  • Saffron powder – 1/4 tsp

  • Butter – 1 tbsp

  • Liquid oil – 1 tsp

Instructions

Place the fresh cream in a small non-stick pot and heat it over low heat. As soon as the edges of the cream start to gently simmer, add the chopped white chocolate.

Then add the saffron powder and stir continuously until the mixture becomes smooth and uniform and the color develops. Turn off the heat.

Add room-temperature butter and mix well. For a shinier finish, you can add 1 teaspoon of liquid oil.

Let the ganache cool down. When it becomes slightly warm, you can use it with a spoon or transfer it to a disposable piping bag and decorate your cake.

If you want thicker drips along the edges of the cake, allow it to cool further before using.

This sauce is quick and easy to prepare, with a delicious aroma and flavor thanks to the saffron. It adds a beautiful golden color to simple or saffron cakes.
